Being a rebel against the Lord
is what most have become
by asserting their right to live
in pleasure and in fun

not caring for the things of God
a rebel seeks new roads
searching for the answers to life
through various worldly modes

putting oneself in place of God
man shows the fool he is
thinking he’s superior at best
contriving sin as bliss

but whether or not man believes
that Christ is Lord of Lords
the truth is that God is sovereign
and hell receives its hordes

all because man rebels from God
not wanting saving grace
defying God from birth to death
indifferent to His face

Jesus died for all the rebels
the ones who turned from sin
looking to God for salvation
a chance to live again
____
right now could be that chance for you
for God to cleanse your past
redeeming you by His own blood
forgiveness found at last
